As a special way to welcome in the new year of 2012, Pam and I went to a New Year’s Retreat at Sandy Cove on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.  Weather was in the high 50’s and clear, featuring the most beautiful sunset show that this site is famous for as was no exception on New Year’s Eve with the sun set over the bay’s horizon.

The environment is always so amazing and to support this statement let me share the performance we saw by Jamey Turner who plays “the glass harp” – something you will better understand when you see him in action in this video (which is exactly his performance as we saw there):

This was by no means the only show, with Michael Faircloth (pianist), Paul Pitts (tenor) and comedian, Daren Streblow filling out the entertainer list.  Thrilled with the beautiful music, sides hurting from the laughter of both the musicians interplay and then this comedian, it was a night to remember and a great way to welcome 2012 in this prayerful setting of well over 300 Christians – mostly couples – joining in for fabulous food and fellowship.  The event has been going on for some 26 years with many couples coming back every year.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year from Sandy Cove, MD

We wish you all a very Happy New Year and hope you find this year filled with many blessings and joy.
